Drops, dyes and shops
How the numbers on this site work, and where the server's own currencies go.
Reading a drop rate
A drop in PSO takes two rolls:
- Does the enemy drop anything at all? Every enemy has its own chance for this.
- If it did, is it this item? That is the rare table's number.
Most drop lists online only show the second roll. The Drop tables and the Codex multiply both together, so "1 in 5,000" means one in five thousand kills. Boxes skip the first roll. Your Section ID decides which rares you can find, so check the Section IDs column.
Events change the tables
While a seasonal event runs, its event drops replace the year-round rate for the same enemy. The Events page has the calendar, and the Drop tables list every event drop.
Photon Dyes
Photon Dyes recolour a weapon's look. They only work on weapons rated 10 stars or higher: on a lower weapon the dye is refused and not used up. /dyeshop lists them.
Currencies
- Torment Coins drop in Torment games.
/coinshopshows what they buy (materials, Photon Drops and more),/coinbuybuys. - Dark Photon Drops stack up to a Dark Photon Sphere with
/darkexchange(99 Drops for one Sphere)./darkshopis the event shelf they pay for. - Mags are on the mag shelf:
/magshop,/magbuy.
Stock and prices change as the server grows. Every item's Codex page says where it is sold and for what.
